Simply Saturday…

I absolutely love Saturdays! There is something so calm and peaceful about them…no rushing around, no stress. Even time to come here and blog!

I have never been one to do much with a “one little word” for the year. I mean, I usually start the year thinking about something I would like to focus on, but I’ve never taken it much farther than that. This year, I decided that I really need to not only choose a word, but really focus on what it means in my life. Over the Christmas Break, I was watching some Instagram stories from people I follow and they were talking a lot about a #lighttheworld campaign. It really made me stop and think and ultimately led to me choosing Light as my word for this year. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense to me in several different ways. I’m going to spend some time jotting down all the ways that light impacts my life and my hope is to blog regularly about how I am focusing on light in my life.

To start things off, I created this page for River~Rose Designs this week, who created an amazingly perfect kit!! It’s called Be A Light:

Among the things that I have had in my thoughts regarding light are ways in which I can lighten up in my life. Being a part of Simple Scrapper has helped me focus on some of those ways as far as my scrapbooking goes, and in other areas! Simply Monday…

I know, right! Two days in a row. I can probably thank a snow day for that. We have another one tomorrow. There goes MLK Day and Presidents Day. Ugh, I hate snow. I would so much rather have these days when it’s nice outside and I can go out of the house without the air hurting my face. But it’s where I am right now, so I guess I’ll just enjoy what I get.

I was sitting here catching up on a few things and realized that I haven’t shared the layouts that I did for Simple Scrapper this month. I love being a part of the team at Simple Scrapper. Simply Friday…

I have really come to enjoy the simplicity of Friday. No football practice. No homework. No cooking. No running. Friday evenings have quickly become my favorite! It’s really the only evening of the whole week with nothing to do. So, tonight I thought I would take a minute to share the layouts that I did for Simple Scrapper this month. Simply Tuesday…

I think I’ve said before that Tuesdays don’t get much fanfare. Just a day, unlike Monday when everyone is bummed, or Wednesday when everyone is all about humping, or Thursday and Friday when the weekend is calling. Tuesdays are just kind of there. Not as bad as Monday, but not so good either. Simply Tuesday. I’m starting to get adjusted to simple. I haven’t done a whole lot since school was out. Going from 100mph to 0 is tough on an old lady. But I’m finally getting in the groove and getting some things done.

Simply Wednesday

This is what I need more of these days…simplicity! The last month or so has been a big crazy, sad, stressful blur. Simplicity is so underrated.

Simply Monday

And a snowy one here. I am totally ready for winter to be over and spring to make it’s appearance. But I guess it will happen in its own time. We had a one hour early release today because of some impending weather. It’s supposed to snow on and off for the next few days. Right now, they have us on a delay for tomorrow. I guess we’ll see what the overnight brings.

Simply Tuesday

I had a conversation with a co-worker last week about how Tuesday kind of gets the shaft. No big attention paid to it like Monday, it’s not hump day or almost Friday. It’s just there…a day. We decided we needed to celebrate Tuesdays a little more…show them some love. We have some pretty strange conversations sometimes!

Anyway, I’m running by today because I realized that it’s November 10th and I have not shared some of my favorite pages. The ones that I do for Simple Scrapper! Simply Sunday…

There is something so peaceful about Sundays…especially rainy ones. I so love the simple things on Sundays. I’m swinging by here today to share the layouts I did for Simple Scrapper this month. I loved the Story Starters and Templates this month and had a great time creating with them! For the first layout, I chose to describe myself using only word art. This was fun and I tried to describe myself the way I am most of the time! I used Think Happy Be Happy by Amy Wolff.

Simply Monday

Mondays off are the best! Time to relax, unwind, chill out, and even do another blog post! I wanted to come by here today to share all things Simple Scrapper! Simply Monday…

And the last one without work for awhile (at least until Labor Day ha). I had to get the lawn mowed first thing today, as more rain moved in this afternoon and the yard already looked like a jungle! Seriously, I wish I could  go out one time to mow without something going wrong. Last time, the riding mower would not start and this time it started but one of the belts was smoking. It literally is every single time…weed eater won’t start, run out of gas, something. But it’s times like this that I have to just be grateful that I have a yard to mow and the ability to mow it.

Anyway, the real reason I’m here is that I totally forgot that I had not shared my layouts for Simple Scrapper this month! I have no idea how that happened, but better late than never I guess.

If you have not checked out the Premium Membership, you really should. There is always something going on and an amazing amount of inspiration to be found in every aspect of scrapping! I do not know how Jennifer does it all or even begins to keep track of it. She is a dynamo!
