Ummmm, how did it get to be July already? I feel like I blinked and June was gone! If we are accomplishing anything with this summer break, it’s relaxing. We’ve done that very well!

I really intended to post a few days ago, but time once again slipped up on me. I’ve been spending the last week or so getting ready for the little guy’s birthday. I might even try to post some of those photos…try. I didn’t get my layouts for last Friday shared while they were still on sale, but I will put them at the end of this post. I think I’ve said before that Tuesdays don’t get much fanfare. Just a day, unlike Monday when everyone is bummed, or Wednesday when everyone is all about humping, or Thursday and Friday when the weekend is calling. Tuesdays are just kind of there. Not as bad as Monday, but not so good either. Simply Tuesday. I’m starting to get adjusted to simple. I haven’t done a whole lot since school was out. Going from 100mph to 0 is tough on an old lady. But I’m finally getting in the groove and getting some things done.
What I did realize is that I haven’t shared the layouts that I did for Simple Scrapper this month. I love being a part of the team at Simple Scrapper. I really feel like it helps me to create some meaningful, purposeful layouts and inspires me to create pages that I may not have thought of otherwise. I am not even going to look back to see how long it’s been since I posted! It’s been so incredibly crazy around here with baseball, end of the school year, graduations, dance recitals…you name it, we’ve done it. All while trying to finalize everything at work for the year so I can actually start summer break. Tomorrow is our last official day, and I am soooo ready for some down time.

I love them both! Especially together when the weather is really is as awesome as it was today. Things are starting to get back to normal around here after the last few weeks. It really was draining and exhausting. I all in for a little normalcy. Baseball practice has officially started and school work is getting crazy. It’s that time of year and I am so happy to have it here.

Yes, there’s still one more day in February this year, but basically it’s the end, right? I’m done with it and ready for the month that brings Spring and Daylight Savings Time! Bring on March!! We had fabulous 65 degree weather today and it’s supposed to be nice for the next couple of days before turning cold again. But at least I know the cold days are numbered now.

I’m afraid I am going to miss most of it. My son’s basketball team plays for the championship tomorrow night. It’s a double elimination tournament and we haven’t lost yet. So, what that means is that we play at 7…if we win, we are champions and it’s over, if we lose, we play again at 9pm! Really hoping we win that first game or it will be a long night! We don’t do much to celebrate around here. I usually pick up a little candy for the kids and that’s about it. I’ve never been a big fan. I guess it’s fun for some and can be a special day, but it seems kind of forced to me. I don’t like cut flowers from the florist and my husband knows that if he comes home with them, I will probably fuss about the waste of money hahaha. To me, it is more special to get a rose from the convenience store on a random Tuesday than a dozen on a day you are “supposed” to do it. But I digress. I didn’t come here today to dump on Valentine’s Day. If you love it, celebrate it…if you don’t, celebrate something else about today.
