Simply Saturday…

I absolutely love Saturdays! There is something so calm and peaceful about them…no rushing around, no stress. Even time to come here and blog!

I have never been one to do much with a “one little word” for the year. I mean, I usually start the year thinking about something I would like to focus on, but I’ve never taken it much farther than that. This year, I decided that I really need to not only choose a word, but really focus on what it means in my life. Over the Christmas Break, I was watching some Instagram stories from people I follow and they were talking a lot about a #lighttheworld campaign. It really made me stop and think and ultimately led to me choosing Light as my word for this year. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense to me in several different ways. I’m going to spend some time jotting down all the ways that light impacts my life and my hope is to blog regularly about how I am focusing on light in my life.

To start things off, I created this page for River~Rose Designs this week, who created an amazingly perfect kit!! It’s called Be A Light:

Among the things that I have had in my thoughts regarding light are ways in which I can lighten up in my life. Being a part of Simple Scrapper has helped me focus on some of those ways as far as my scrapbooking goes, and in other areas! Friday…

Oh wow, it’s been a while since I was this glad to see Friday come!! Can I be real for a second? I love what I do, really, but weeks like this really test my sanity. I’m not sure if there was just something in the air or what, but the kids have been out there…like, way out there! I’m exhausted. But it’s Friday, there was no football practice, and I’m chilling in my PJ’s and hanging out online while I listen to the 12 year old yelling at a video game. Yep, he’s out there, too…wherever “there” is. I would almost swear it’s a full moon, but I know it’s not. Anyway, I thought I’d swing by and share my pages for this week. There’s some awesome new stuff in the stores and you don’t wanna miss getting it while it’s on sale!

I have some catching up to do on PL and I hope to get that done after football games tomorrow. This week has been so crazy that my planner is laying in front of me completely blank and empty. Busy or not so much…

I can’t decide if I am busy all the time or not really doing anything at all. This summer is flying by and I am down to 2 more weeks until school starts. Part of me doesn’t mind it. I start to crave adult interaction. But part of me wishes I had a little more time to finish all the things I wanted to do. But it’s coming, like it or not. I am not going to complain about the babysitting this summer. These days are short and I will cherish this time with him always. I’m sure I will miss him when he is not with me all day. Football practice has started again, so we are spending 2 hours every day, 5 days a week at the practice field and this is our last free weekend before the games begin. Things are about to get crazy! I’m working on a plan to be more organized with my daily to-dos. We’ll see how it pans out!!

From my happy place…

We are at the beach for the Thanksgiving holiday and it’s been awesome. Temperatures have been mid 70’s perfect and I got a little Christmas shopping done. I just hate that it’s about over and we are headed back to the cold, but hopefully we’ll be back soon. I thought I’d take a few minutes while I’m relaxing on our last night here to share some amazing newness in the shops this weekend. I think this is the most layouts I’ve scrapped in a week for awhile.

Love Saturday

Saturdays rock! They really do. Even if I spend a good deal of it cleaning. I love the relaxing time in the evening when I can catch up on things I’ve missed on line and not have to be worried about getting ready for the day coming up.

Beginnings and endings…

There’s something refreshing about a new month. Time to start over, start fresh. Here we are in November. As much as I dread the cold weather cBOYoming, part of me loves this time of year and starting to think about the holidays. Football is over now and we have our evenings back again. Maybe with the new month and more time, I can spend more time here.

What a great  weekend it is in digiscrapping!! Designers never cease to amaze me with new and gorgeous creations!!

Simply Friday…

I have really come to enjoy the simplicity of Friday. No football practice. No homework. No cooking. No running. Friday evenings have quickly become my favorite! New, new, new…

Staying up to date as much as I can right now 🙂 It will be nice when football season is over and I have my evenings back again. But until I do, I will make the best of it and get here when I can. We spent the afternoon with football games and our team lost pretty badly. I’m not sure what all they are doing wrong, or what they are doing right. Hopefully they will get it all together.

In digi-land, there are some fabulous new releases this week and I had the privilege of working with the best!!

Busy, busy…

Yeah, summer is still happening here. Football practice started right after my last post and it is two hours a day, every day. It seems like we no sooner get up, get chores done, and eat, then it’s time to head out to practice. Such is the life. I have two more weeks of summer vacation and I already see the days filling up with things that need to be done. I’m determined that we will squeeze some fun in there! But I’m not going to dilly-dally here. I’m just going to drop off some pages so you can see what I’ve been up to and the gorgeousness from my amazing designers and then I’m off to bed to start all over tomorrow.

Yeah, so…

What happened was…summer. I’m feeling like I haven’t been very productive, but I have managed to clean out a few rooms and do some fun things. C and I ended up taking off for the beach, just the two of us. R was hoping for a phone call about a new job and didn’t want to leave, so since it would be the only chance for us to go because of football starting, C and I jumped in the car about mid-week and took off for a few days. It was really nice to spend some time together and do a lot of the things that he and I like to do. Since we’ve been back, I’ve just been catching up on some things around the house and hitting the pool and a few baseball games. And we’ve been playing a lot of Pokemon Go! It’s about to get crazy here again, so I’m not sure that productivity will happen this summer ha. Football practice starts tomorrow, I have to go in to work on Thursday, and I need to start doing some pre-work stuff before school starts.

I haven’t even scrapped all that much, but here are the pages I have managed to get done 🙂
