I feel like I do this a lot and I’m really trying hard not to put myself in a position where I am catching up all the time! But, I can happily say that I am totally caught up on my Life in Pockets!! Now, my plan is to stay that way. I know life has a way of showing up just when I say that, but that’s my plan! I do have to say that I probably wouldn’t be caught up if it were for Just Jaimee’s Ready-to-Go Pocket Page Templates!! They have made it so easy to just pop in photos, add some journaling and be done with it. I have added and replaced some elements here and there with elements from her Storyteller Collections, but it’s been super easy! Seriously, if you are behind like I was, these are the way to go!! And the Saturday before Christmas at that. Wow! I am almost ready. I have had a few things to do for a couple of weeks now and keep putting them off or other things get in the way. Now I am feeling crunch time. I have a couple of gifts to wrap, a couple to make, and some candy to do and I will be officially finished. I am hoping to accomplish most, if not all, of it tomorrow! Then my plan is to clean house on Monday and be ready for the holiday 🙂

I thought we were going to get off easy this year with Halloween being on Saturday. Not so much. Instead, it turned in to a two day ordeal and 3x the make-up. C had to be ready for his Halloween party at school on Friday, and I played with some make-up on myself. Then, right after school, we re-did the make-up and went to work with A at the Rescue Squad’s haunted house. It was a lot of fun, but made for a really long day. We didn’t get home until about midnight. We did make-up again on Saturday for trick-or-treat. I have had my fill of candy :p
Today, we went to mom’s to celebrate my birthday a couple of days early. My sister, her husband, and one of her daughters and her husband came. But the best part was having all 3 of my kids, my daughter-in-law, and my granddaughter all together. We are so seldom any more it seems. Having grown children is different for sure. We are supposed to go out to dinner on Tuesday for my actual birthday. And Thursday is parent/teacher conferences, which means staying at work until 7. Going to be a long week!

Well, I’m in it kind of deep this morning. My PC decided to blue screen on me twice in the last couple of days, so I decided it was time for a long over-due reformat. I’ve had this computer for about 2 years and never done a good hard reformat, but I’ve put it off simply because I did not want to got through setting it all back up. Since all baseball stuff was cancelled for the weekend, and I had a bit of time, I figured it was as good a time as any. We are only going to get busier! Now, here I am, deep in re-installation hell!

Yeah, so it’s been a couple of weeks and yeah, same ole busy, busy, busy. I am taking a class this semester and, every little bit of weekend time that I’ve had, I’ve spent working on stuff for the class. It’s interesting stuff, if you like classes on teaching methods, but between that and the usual spring IEP, paperwork, testing, etc, I don’t have much “free” time. We have a 4 day weekend going on right now. That is the extent of our “Spring Break”. I am so envious of those who get a whole week off, but we are on the countdown to the end of the year! I’m also tackling a pretty big project in my time off…painting all my kitchen cabinets. They’ve needed an update for a long time. I got about half way through yesterday and will probably get the other half tomorrow. Today, we are going to color eggs and go to mom’s for dinner.
We got C all signed up for baseball a couple of weeks ago and he had try outs last week. We heard from the manager of the team yesterday and he will get to be #45 (Michael Jordan’s baseball number). Their team is the Giants and we have our meet and greet on Tuesday evening.
I haven’t had a chance to see it in person yet, but M now has a house of her own! I have informed her that she now must come and get all of her stuff haha. I’m dreaming of a craft room! But all of that will probably have to wait until summer, when I have the time to do it.

What an awesome day! This has to be one of my most favorite days of the whole year…Daylight Savings Time! I love the extra daylight in the evening. I just have so much more energy when I have more sunlight in my life. I get so lethargic once the sun goes down, and when that happens right after I get home from work, it’s really rather depressing.
But I didn’t really come back today to sing the praises of DST, I wanted to share my newest Life in Pockets pages. I am keeping up fairly well so far. I still have this past week to do, but hopefully I’ll get that done later today. C has basketball practice and I have to shop for my mother’s birthday, but other than that I don’t have much else to do. Thankfully, my morning does not involve shoveling or chipping ice!!
For Week 9, I used all things Valorie Wibbens – For Like Ever Papers, For Like Ever Journal Cards, and Sprinkles V33…all at The Lilypad.
