And the Saturday before Christmas at that. Wow! I am almost ready. I have had a few things to do for a couple of weeks now and keep putting them off or other things get in the way. Now I am feeling crunch time. I have a couple of gifts to wrap, a couple to make, and some candy to do and I will be officially finished. I am hoping to accomplish most, if not all, of it tomorrow! Then my plan is to clean house on Monday and be ready for the holiday 🙂
I have managed to get some scrapping in the last week or so and there are some fantastic new releases this week. Here’s what I have to share:
I have also been working on my December Daily. I’m a few days behind, but hopefully I’ll get that caught up in the next day or so as well. Here’s what I have so far 🙂
I also have my Life in Pockets updated, but I won’t post them all here. You can head over to that page and check them out if you’d like. I’m going to work on getting my DD posted around some galleries 🙂 Hope you have a great rest of the weekend and I’ll be back as soon as I have a minute! Peace, out….
Been a while since I came by here and honestly, I’m not sure where the time went ha. I fully intended to blog last weekend, then I thought I would while on Thanksgiving break, but yeah, it just didn’t happen. I did update my Scrap Pages with last week’s layouts and I thought I would take a minute to swing by and share all that’s new this week. No nonsense out of me this week. Not really feeling the best today, so short and sweet. Here’s all the fabulousness in the shops that I had the privilege of working with:
Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great week ahead!! Peace, out…
I thought we were going to get off easy this year with Halloween being on Saturday. Not so much. Instead, it turned in to a two day ordeal and 3x the make-up. C had to be ready for his Halloween party at school on Friday, and I played with some make-up on myself. Then, right after school, we re-did the make-up and went to work with A at the Rescue Squad’s haunted house. It was a lot of fun, but made for a really long day. We didn’t get home until about midnight. We did make-up again on Saturday for trick-or-treat. I have had my fill of candy :p
Today, we went to mom’s to celebrate my birthday a couple of days early. My sister, her husband, and one of her daughters and her husband came. But the best part was having all 3 of my kids, my daughter-in-law, and my granddaughter all together. We are so seldom any more it seems. Having grown children is different for sure. We are supposed to go out to dinner on Tuesday for my actual birthday. And Thursday is parent/teacher conferences, which means staying at work until 7. Going to be a long week!
Now to update some scrap pages from this weekend… there’s still time to catch them on sale if you hurry!
And I caught up on a couple of weeks worth of my Life in Pockets.. All using Pocket Life ’15 – October Collection by Traci Reed and 365Unscripted: Plastic Stitched Grids by Traci Reed. I am still a little behind, but not too far.
I am also having a go at at mini gratitude album for November using 4×6 Photo Templates by Paislee Press
Starting on some 2016 Calendar Pages thanks to some fabulous new releases from MEG Designs
I will make a gallery somewhere for them. Hope you all have a great first week of November! Peace, out…
Yeah, so it’s been a couple of weeks and yeah, same ole busy, busy, busy. I am taking a class this semester and, every little bit of weekend time that I’ve had, I’ve spent working on stuff for the class. It’s interesting stuff, if you like classes on teaching methods, but between that and the usual spring IEP, paperwork, testing, etc, I don’t have much “free” time. We have a 4 day weekend going on right now. That is the extent of our “Spring Break”. I am so envious of those who get a whole week off, but we are on the countdown to the end of the year! I’m also tackling a pretty big project in my time off…painting all my kitchen cabinets. They’ve needed an update for a long time. I got about half way through yesterday and will probably get the other half tomorrow. Today, we are going to color eggs and go to mom’s for dinner.
We got C all signed up for baseball a couple of weeks ago and he had try outs last week. We heard from the manager of the team yesterday and he will get to be #45 (Michael Jordan’s baseball number). Their team is the Giants and we have our meet and greet on Tuesday evening.
I haven’t had a chance to see it in person yet, but M now has a house of her own! I have informed her that she now must come and get all of her stuff haha. I’m dreaming of a craft room! But all of that will probably have to wait until summer, when I have the time to do it.
I have managed to get in some scrapping the last couple of weeks, and pretty much keep up with my weekly spreads. I’ve updated both galleries, but here are some of the pages I’ve managed to squeeze in…
Thanks for having a look and hope everyone has a happy and blessed Easter! Peace, out…
What an awesome day! This has to be one of my most favorite days of the whole year…Daylight Savings Time! I love the extra daylight in the evening. I just have so much more energy when I have more sunlight in my life. I get so lethargic once the sun goes down, and when that happens right after I get home from work, it’s really rather depressing.
But I didn’t really come back today to sing the praises of DST, I wanted to share my newest Life in Pockets pages. I am keeping up fairly well so far. I still have this past week to do, but hopefully I’ll get that done later today. C has basketball practice and I have to shop for my mother’s birthday, but other than that I don’t have much else to do. Thankfully, my morning does not involve shoveling or chipping ice!!
For Week 9, I used all things Valorie Wibbens – For Like Ever Papers, For Like Ever Journal Cards, and Sprinkles V33…all at The Lilypad.
I’ve added them to my Life in Pockets page, so everything there should be up to date! I’m on my way to work on some pages for releases coming up this week. Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!! Peace, out….
I’m not really sure where the last few days went, other than we did finally get back to work for 3 days and then off another 2. I am over winter. Fortunately, it does look like the next week or more will be beautiful and no temps below freezing! I also love, love, love the time change! I really do think about this blog every day and say I’m coming to post something and then one thing leads to another and I piddle around and don’t do it. But anyway, I’m here now and wanted to share a few new things for this week!
First up, it’s a brand new month at Simple Scrapper! If you haven’t checked out their Premium Membership, you really should. It’s a great community filled with wonderful scrappers! You also get access to a full library of sketches and Story Starters to jump start your creativity, Spark Magazine, planning tools, and lots of other unique and awesome content. Here are the layouts I created with sketches and story starters from the Premium Membership:
Basketball season is winding down and we are in the playoffs right now. I have so many photos to scrap and Traci Reed read my mind! She has this great new basketball kit and matching cards!
Val C. has a great new challenge over at Oscraps! I just loved playing with the big words that she provides for the challenge.
Also out this week is a beautiful kit called Create Joy by River~Rose. I paired it up with This Journey called Life template by Two Tiny Turtles.
And I am off to get ready for a day at basketball! Have a terrific weekend! Peace, out…
Yeah, played out, I know! Wednesday has another name around here…just plain ole trash day. That’s how I gauge the days of the week..by what has to be done on certain days. The trash doesn’t really run on Wednesday, but around 6am on Thursday, so out it goes on Wednesday night. And for the record, taking the trash out when it’s bitterly cold really sucks! We also had basketball practice today, getting ready for the game tomorrow. C’s team is undefeated so far! Another busy week. I went to have my nails done yesterday and I get my hair done Friday for the first time since A’s wedding! My roots are baaaaad. There are seriously so many days that I wish I would just go gray already. I’m going to think of them as my natural highlights and let it go. But so far I have only had 2 or 3 here and there.
But I didn’t come here to blab about trash or basketball or hair. I am just swinging by to update my Project Life pages. Four weeks in and keeping up so far. Traci Reed’sPocket Life ’15: January Collection is just amazing and has made the pages come together so easily. Here’s my week 4 (The Week 4 title is by One Little Bird and the templates are Traci’s 365Unscripted.
So far I am keeping up with the 2 page spreads…we’ll see how long it continues 🙂 I will be back in a day or two to share all the awesome new releases that I got to play with this week! There’s some good stuff!! Until then…peace, out!
The new year that is! Bring on 2015! I’m ready for the new year with new plans and new organization…at least in my mind ha. We’ll see how it all pans out. We had a pretty quiet New Year’s Eve watching the festivities from New York on TV, eating lots of junk, and playing around with silly photo booth stuff that I printed for C. The new year, so far, has been spent doing a whole big bunch of nothing.
I have been working on uploading some scrappy stuff and will be getting my Scrap Pages updated when I wind up this post. There is all kinds of fantastic stuff to start the new year! If you make it to the end of this, kudos to you!!
Danyale has a great new set of journal cards called The Dirty Deck – Holidays. These are so much fun! I used them for this page along with her new release all about Christmas Catastrophes called Better Luck Next Year:
Pixels and Company has an absolutely amazing new collab for January – Winter Wish! I’m telling you, I could not stop using this beauty! Here are several pages with it:
MEG Designs has a fun New Year’s kit as well. Great sprinkles, and even a couple of fantastic coordinating templates:
Cheryl is helping us all plan ahead this year with calendars for 2016! How cool is that..no last minute calendar creations..create them over the course of the year!
I already have a start on my Life in Pockets! The cover page is done thanks to a fantastic freebie from Traci Reed Designs! This also uses her kit – I’ve Got Sunshine.
And if you stayed with me this long…thank you!! Wishing you all the best for the new year. Peace, love, and happiness 🙂
