This is one particularly happy Thursday!! You gotta love a great four day weekend!! I’m telling you, no one really knows what it’s like inside a school on the first week back with students after summer break. I’m exhausted as I know all of my teacher friends are. I really need this weekend to get myself back on track and feel like I am with it again! The best part today was when they cancelled football practice and I got to come home and grab a nap!

I can’t decide if I am busy all the time or not really doing anything at all. This summer is flying by and I am down to 2 more weeks until school starts. Part of me doesn’t mind it. I start to crave adult interaction. But part of me wishes I had a little more time to finish all the things I wanted to do. But it’s coming, like it or not. I am not going to complain about the babysitting this summer. These days are short and I will cherish this time with him always. I’m sure I will miss him when he is not with me all day. Football practice has started again, so we are spending 2 hours every day, 5 days a week at the practice field and this is our last free weekend before the games begin. Things are about to get crazy! I’m working on a plan to be more organized with my daily to-dos. We’ll see how it pans out!!

So I think March Madness not only applies to all the college basketball games going on (Go Mountaineers!!), but also to life right now. I’ve had the grand baby a few times here lately, and it’s also been the end of a grading period, so time has been pretty limited. We’ve had very few snow days this year, and that’s historically been my best time for playing catch up. But, anyway, here I am.

Sunday mornings are the one time of the week that I feel like I am caught up on life. At least until everyone else wakes up! The dishes are done, the laundry is done, the house is clean, the shopping is done…you get the idea. It’s probably my very favorite morning of the week. Right now, it’s just me, my coffee, and my laptop. It’s snowing outside. We haven’t had much to speak of this year and I am not complaining one little bit. I’m afraid to say much for fear of jinxing it. But we have had a great winter so far. I keep waiting on the hammer to fall.
I’m also all caught up in the excitement of MOC at The Lilypad – 31 challenges, 31 days. We are up to day 29 now and I have done them all!! I’m also hosting one of the challenges – Combine 2 Templates – so I’m trying to keep caught up with commenting on all the gorgeous pages that have been entered there. My MOC 2017 page is updated with all the layouts for these awesome challenges. Some of them really make me reach out of my comfort zone, but I always learn something new!!

I’m still playing along with MOC at The Lilypad! I’m caught up to today and will try to get that layout done after some couching 🙂 Here’s what I’ve done since I last posted:
It’s cold…just plain cold. Right now it is 8 and feels like -2. Â Every day that it’s cold I remember that I’m just not meant to live where it’s cold! I hate it with every fiber of my being. But for the time being, I guess I will make the best of it and do nothing!! I did really clean the house yesterday and then today I spent a good part of the day laying on the couch. I have some scrapping that I need to catch up on tonight, but I’m trying to be up to date on all my uploads and things.
MOC is in full swing at The Lilypad!! If you don’t know what that is, a new challenge is posted every day in the month of January. If you complete all 31 challenges, you get a $20 gift certificate to the store. This is my 4th year playing along and I love it!! Yep, the holidays got the best of me. Even with 2 weeks off, I couldn’t find time to get here, or maybe I was just lazy. Probably more the latter. I also took some time and finished up my Life in Pockets for 2016, and I’m really excited to start 2017. I haven’t updated the page with layouts yet, but I will get to that in a day or so. I also need to update my December Daily for this year. I always love that project and the final result. For now, I thought I would just come by and share some pages from the last couple of weeks. This week and next are probably two of the busiest of the whole  year. My goal is to be done shopping and such by next Friday when we are out of school and this weekend will be spent getting everything ready for all that goes on at my school and C’s this week. I need to do some serious catching up on wrapping and make a few gifts. I also have 2 pot lucks this week to prepare something for. This past week was spent with C’s first band concert and rehearsal. So, needless to say, not a lot of scrapping got done this past week. Actually none during the week. I hope to do some serious catching up this weekend. I have a couple of layouts to share that I managed to get done last weekend before the craziness!!
