Man, do the weekends ever fly by! Chilly and rainy Sunday here. I am so not ready to let go of summer! I think I would enjoy fall a whole lot more if it didn’t mean that winter was right behind or if I didn’t have a ton of leaves to deal with in the mean time. But it’s coming whether I like it or not. I did get my first Pumpkin Spice Latte on Friday and that makes me very happy! Plus football has started!
Swinging by here this morning to show off some of the amazing designs that I had the pleasure of working with this week. You can still catch them on sale and they are all fabulous!!

That’s it for me today! Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day Holiday!! Peace, out…
Starting school earlier this year was not on my list of favorite things ever, but I have to say it is nice to have a little break after only a couple of weeks. Usually we have to wait until Thanksgiving for a day off. I’m trying to enjoy every minute of it and not rush through all I have to do like normal weekends. I meant to come by earlier today to share this week’s pages, but I worked on catching up on my Life in Pockets a bit this morning and then mowed grass this afternoon. Mom came by for a bit and then it was time to cook dinner.
Lots of beautiful new stuff this weekend and there’s still time to get it on sale! I have a few layouts using BYOC products at TLP…mixing and matching by Etc. by Danyale, Amy Wolff, and Valorie Wibbens. You can still catch these on sale if you hurry 🙂

I’m hoping to get all caught up on my Life in Pockets by tomorrow. Hope you all are enjoying your Labor Day weekend!! Peace, out…
Sundays are bittersweet. They are so nice and relaxing, no pressure to do anything except make sure everything is ready for the upcoming week. But there is the bitter part – upcoming week. It’s all good, routines are nice sometimes.
Stopping by here quickly to share my pages for this week. My guest spot at TLP is coming to an end. It’s been super fun and I hope I get the chance to work with all of them again. And also, if you haven’t see the news, Amy Martin is retiring and her store will be closing tomorrow. This makes me very sad. She was one of the reasons I started shopping at TLP and I will miss her templates a lot! She does have a fantastic sale going on, so get there before they are gone – Amy Martin Shop.

I still need to catch up on my Life in Pockets pages and I hope to do that in the next day or two. I just need to get my photos in order. Thanks for looking and I hope everyone has a fantastic rest of their Sunday! Peace, out…
I’m a bit behind on posting again. My only excuse this time is trying to get back in to the swing of being back at work. What a crazy week! And I don’t feel any more prepared for my students than when it started. We have relatively little time actually working in our classroom. Most of the time is spent in meeting after meeting. But, as I always say, the kids will come…ready or not!
Anyway, I thought I would take the time to come by and share my pages in case anyone is interested in checking out these amazing kits while you can still get them on sale!!

Well, normally I would be happy to see Fridays come, but this one not so much. It is technically my last day of summer vacation. Looking on the bright side, let the countdown begin again! Part of me does crave the routine of the school year, but the evenings do become so rushed and there never seems to be enough down-time. But like it or not…here it comes again!
Fridays are pretty awesome in the digi-world. Lots of gorgeous new releases! I have a few new pages to share.
First up is Lifetime Stories Kit and Document Set by Etc. by Danyale at The Lilypad. I did this page for the Journaling Challenge.

I am totally enjoying being a Guest Polly for this month, especially since I get to work with amazing designers like Sissy Sparrows. It’s been a bit since I got to play with one of their kits and they are so fabulous. This one is The Marble Jar.

Looking forward to a relaxing last weekend before the rush begins. Enjoy yours!!
I’ve been saying I was going to get here with photos of the transformation of M’s room, so here I am with it. I am still finding things I want to do and change, but I’ll get it done a little at a time. These are cell phone photos, so hang with me, they are not the greatest quality.
This is where we started (after I took things off the wall and had primed the window frame which had also been pink) – Bright pink walls, ugly nasty light blue carpet, and giant lava lamp. I painted R and C played on that keyboard This room is straight back from my front door, so it is always seen when you come in the house and there has been a pink glow everywhere for years.
I knew I was going to have to prime the walls to cover that pink and this is where I slacked on photos. I got to in to it and didn’t take any pictures of that process.
Now comes the paint. I started putting this on and thought maybe it was too dark, but I really love how the color came out:
1000% better already! And no more lava lamp!
Then I got really adventurous because that nasty blue carpet was really bothering me in the fresh painted room. I don’t want to go all out on flooring just yet, so I decided why not paint the sub floor and add a nice throw rug. The absolute worst part was removing all the tack strips and staples from the floor. After that was done, I had to do a lot of sweeping, wiping, sanding, and then priming.
Looked so much better, even with just the primer. I used Killz brand because there were a few dark spots and imperfections in the wood. Now for paint! I chose a darker color than the walls because I knew I wanted to use a lighter colored area rug. And again, I got carried away and failed on the photos of just the painted floor. So, I’ll just skip to where it stands now. The rug is a little smaller than what I wanted, but it will do for now. I chose the blue accent color last. It’s not exactly what IÂ planned, but if I decide I don’t like it I can change it. Here is the room now:
Old kitchen chair that had been sitting in my laundry room for years, freshly painted.Chair and M’s old desk that she didn’t want, so I’m putting it to use with printers and my Cameo. My desk space. Notice the creepy head on the shelf. I had hid him away, but M insisted that she crafted him in art class, so he belonged out in my craft room.Another view of desk area. Creepy head still peeking.I claimed this shelf off the wall at my dad’s old office, along with the little boat shelf. The big shelf was an ugly gray construction color. Fresh paint and it’s a beauty and functional! I just have things kind of thrown on there right now.My latest wine bottle project to add a little accent to the black shelf.Another set of shelves with the other wine bottle I did. Nothing really arranged right now.
And that’s where I am right now. Just guessing, but I would say that I did the whole thing for less than $150. I love it and I love coming in here…alone! R has claimed the old office we shared for himself and it is still a work in progress. It has the same nasty blue carpet and while I would love to dive right in and rip it up now, it’s back to work on Monday so it will have to wait a bit.
I am having a really great time working on some pieces for M’s room that I’m turning in to my space. Last night, I painted a chair and worked on a couple of new wine bottles. Not as in drank the wine, but painted empty ones. I’m not sure on the color just yet. It looked like what I wanted in the store, but now I’m not sure. I’ll have to see how it comes together.
And last, but certainly not least (this is one of my all time fav kits), this one uses Gypsy by Etc. by Danayle
Gypsy by Etc by Danyale
I’m out for now…Have to take DH to the dentist and maybe take C shopping for some school clothes while we wait. Have a great rest of the day!! Peace, out…
And the last one without work for awhile (at least until Labor Day ha). I had to get the lawn mowed first thing today, as more rain moved in this afternoon and the yard already looked like a jungle! Seriously, I wish I could go out one time to mow without something going wrong. Last time, the riding mower would not start and this time it started but one of the belts was smoking. It literally is every single time…weed eater won’t start, run out of gas, something. But it’s times like this that I have to just be grateful that I have a yard to mow and the ability to mow it.
Anyway, the real reason I’m here is that I totally forgot that I had not shared my layouts for Simple Scrapper this month! I have no idea how that happened, but better late than never I guess.
If you have not checked out the Premium Membership, you really should. There is always something going on and an amazing amount of inspiration to be found in every aspect of scrapping! I do not know how Jennifer does it all or even begins to keep track of it. She is a dynamo!
Here are my pages for this month:
This one uses Celebrate –Â March Collection by Pixels and Company –
This one uses Wander- July Collection by Pixels and Company
That’s it for today. I’m going to try to get the photos posted tomorrow of the bedroom transformation. Until then… Peace, out…
