A bit busy…

Here we are at the end of January already!! Whew, it has flown by and that makes me super happy. I’m not a fan of winter at all and the faster those months go by the better. Yes, I do wish my life away when it comes to winter! The one thing that has really helped me be more positive and enthusiastic during January is MOC at The Lilypad. Seriously, having a challenge a day to focus on keeps my mind off of the dreary cold weather and gives me something to look forward to every day!! We are nearing the end now and I am all caught up with the challenges! It’s super fun! This is my 6th year participating and those layouts are some of my favorites ever! I love being challenged to try new things and learn new techniques. I have a page set up here for those layouts – MOC 2019, and honestly thought I’d get by here a little more often to share, but it hasn’t worked out that way. Another reason I stopped by here is to share my layouts from this past weekend’s new releases. I ended up rearranging some furniture and babysitting this weekend and didn’t get here to post, but here they are 🙂

Sales and more sales…

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a traditional dinner on Thursday with all the kids and one of the grandkids. The other two were at their other parents’ house and we missed them.

Are you a Black Friday shopper? I’m not so much. I don’t like the crowds and the parking and all that jazz, but I have been trying to scoop up deals online as I find them. I don’t have any particularly spectacular ones to share, except in the digi-scrapping community! Yes, there are Black Friday sales there, and they are not to be missed. Hello Friday…

Happy Friday!! Friday evenings are a favorite of mine. It is the one day of the week that we just do a lot of nothing. No homework, no chores, no cooking…just relaxing, maybe scrapping or movie watching. This Friday was a bit different because we had the day off due to some pretty significant flooding in the county where I teach. I feel so bad for all those who were affected by it. There were several campgrounds close to the river that were completely under water. I spent the day cleaning the house so that I can enjoy the rest of the weekend. I seriously need to spend as much time as possible catching up on Project Life! I am so many weeks behind and there’s so much more amazing, fun stuff coming up!

I thought I would jump on tonight and share the new releases for this week, and then hopefully be back to share some PL pages as I finish them!

DSD Overload…

Happy DSD weekend!! For those who don’t know, DSD is Digital Scrapbooking Day. There are challenges, games, and sales galore!! I honestly get a little overwhelmed sometimes and decided a few years ago that I would just sit back and do what I could, when I could. There is just so much! TGIF…

There is something so wonderful about Fridays! C and I started the day with Starbucks because M had told me that the Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte was so much better than the hot, so I had to try it. Ummm no. Just no. I bought a Venti and didn’t even drink half of it. I’ll stick to the hot, thank you very much. Then we jammed out to Flush the Format on the Kidd Kraddick morning show on the radio. I’ll convert Chance to an 80’s music lover yet haha. Work/school went pretty well, and there’s just something about looking forward to the weekend that makes it better. That and being able to wear jeans!

On the way home, we decided to take advantage of the McDonald’s mobile order and pay to get a couple of large drinks and a free medium fry. We’re loving the deals on the app. I don’t cook on Friday. We either do leftovers, pick up something, or throw a pizza in the oven. It’s the one day of the week that we don’t worry about chores or homework or really anything for that matter. We just chill and sometimes get in a little nap!

The other great thing about Fridays is all the awesome new releases around digi-land, so I thought I’d swing by and share a few!!
