We did finally go back to work/school on Thursday. They eased us in with a couple of two hour delays! It was a nice little break, but I don’t much like not being able to go anywhere and spending most of my time off shoveling.
I’ve done quite a bit of scrapping during MOC at The Lilypad. The last challenge is tomorrow and if I get it done in the morning I will come back and share all the pages I did for that. I’m excited that I was able to finish again for the third year. It’s so much fun and some of my favorite pages come out of it.

Hope your 2016 is starting off wonderfully!! I’ve been spending the last couple of day cleaning up my computer and files and getting ready for a brand new year. My goal is to take more photos this year. I’ve not taken many at all lately and I want to change that. It’s something I really love. And like every other year, one of my goals is to be more organized. I think I did much better at it in 2015, but hope to get even better in 2016. One of the ways I’m hoping to do that is by using a planner. I’ve tried different ones at different points in my life, but I’m loving the new one I got and having a ball getting it all prettied up and ready for the new year. But I’ll go more in to that later. And the Saturday before Christmas at that. Wow! I am almost ready. I have had a few things to do for a couple of weeks now and keep putting them off or other things get in the way. Now I am feeling crunch time. I have a couple of gifts to wrap, a couple to make, and some candy to do and I will be officially finished. I am hoping to accomplish most, if not all, of it tomorrow! Then my plan is to clean house on Monday and be ready for the holiday 🙂

I thought we were going to get off easy this year with Halloween being on Saturday. Not so much. Instead, it turned in to a two day ordeal and 3x the make-up. C had to be ready for his Halloween party at school on Friday, and I played with some make-up on myself. Then, right after school, we re-did the make-up and went to work with A at the Rescue Squad’s haunted house. It was a lot of fun, but made for a really long day. We didn’t get home until about midnight. We did make-up again on Saturday for trick-or-treat. I have had my fill of candy :p
Today, we went to mom’s to celebrate my birthday a couple of days early. My sister, her husband, and one of her daughters and her husband came. But the best part was having all 3 of my kids, my daughter-in-law, and my granddaughter all together. We are so seldom any more it seems. Having grown children is different for sure. We are supposed to go out to dinner on Tuesday for my actual birthday. And Thursday is parent/teacher conferences, which means staying at work until 7. Going to be a long week!

Love Friday evenings. They are my “do nothing” evenings…no chores, no cooking (well, I did pop a pizza in the oven), no homework…just staring blankly at the internet for a bit and sometimes cuddling on the couch with my dog and the little guy.
