I’ve finally found a little motivation and have been doing some cleaning out and purging around the house. I hate taking the time to do it, but it feels so good to get rid of junk and de-clutter!! I’ve done 3 rooms now and today I worked on the out building, sweeping and cleaning. Now to just finish the rest of the house!!

I am off to do some organizing on the computer and post updates to my Life in Pockets. I finally got all caught up with that. I hope to get some Planner pics and update that as well. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and a happy, safe 4th of July!!
Before I get in to all the amazing new designs that are on sale this weekend, I want to take just a second to ask for prayers for so many people here in the state of WV. 44 of 55 counties are currently under a state of emergency due to devastating flooding in some parts of the state. Last I heard, 20 people are dead and many have lost their homes. It’s so sad. This all happened just an hour or two north of where I live and many are still trapped. Thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

It’s been so incredibly crazy around here with baseball, end of the school year, graduations, dance recitals…you name it, we’ve done it. All while trying to finalize everything at work for the year so I can actually start summer break. Tomorrow is our last official day, and I am soooo ready for some down time.

So, I was in a pretty good routine posting here, and then…hello baseball season! Oh, and the end of the year madness. I’m struggling to catch a breath these days, but here in a few weeks I will get to take a really big deep breath for the whole summer!

I love them both! Especially together when the weather is really is as awesome as it was today. Things are starting to get back to normal around here after the last few weeks. It really was draining and exhausting. I all in for a little normalcy. Baseball practice has officially started and school work is getting crazy. It’s that time of year and I am so happy to have it here.

This has really been a rough couple of weeks for my family. I mentioned in my post last week that we just attended the funeral for one of my uncles, and then on Monday we got the news that another of my uncles had passed away. We’ll be attending his funeral tomorrow. They both led long full lives, but it is still so hard to let go and say good-bye. I have no doubt that those two and my dad are filling Heaven with some serious laughter!! Oh my, the stories those boys could tell. All of us could sit and listen to them for hours! I need to take some time at some point to tell some of their stories.
I guess that goes back again to why I take time to scrapbook. To tell the stories, even if it is only with pictures sometimes. I’m not the best journaler, but I am trying! I am thankful to find a little down time tonight to come by and share new layouts with my designers amazing new products for this week!

And I am spending it sick! Of course, the first weekend I have free in months and I feel like crap. I hadn’t really planned on doing anything anyway, but not feeling like doing anything is different somehow. Basketball ended last Monday, and C’s team won 1st place in the tournament! Now we have about a month off until baseball starts up and we are on the road again!

We don’t do much to celebrate around here. I usually pick up a little candy for the kids and that’s about it. I’ve never been a big fan. I guess it’s fun for some and can be a special day, but it seems kind of forced to me. I don’t like cut flowers from the florist and my husband knows that if he comes home with them, I will probably fuss about the waste of money hahaha. To me, it is more special to get a rose from the convenience store on a random Tuesday than a dozen on a day you are “supposed” to do it. But I digress. I didn’t come here today to dump on Valentine’s Day. If you love it, celebrate it…if you don’t, celebrate something else about today.
