Planning the New Year

Well, the day has come…back to work tomorrow and I’m not sure I’m ready for it, mentally anyway. My goal for the last several years has to be better organized, and I think I’ve done fairly well at it every year, but not where I’d like to be. So, this year, I decided to purchase a planner and really get down to business. Another thing that is helping me along is all the great planner accessories out there in digi-land. There are so many pretties!! I am going to do my best to share my planner progress here and have created a page for it – Planner Pages 2016. I’m really enjoying dressing it up and keeping track of things already.

I am using a Heidi Swapp Memory Planner and it is the perfect size for me. Everything I have used so far to decorate it comes from Just Jaimee’s Story Planner 2016 January Kit and her Welcome Bag. Make sure you check out all the great deals you can get by subscribing and becoming a VIP!

This is a dashboard that I printed for the very front of the planner. In the pocket to the side are the stickers that I have printed and cut to be used throughout the month.

The Planner came with some pockets, so I just printed a couple of cute journal cards for the new year and slid them in.

On this first sheet that was included with the planner, I am tracking all the basketball games and practices that we have coming up in January.

This is a journal card from Just Jaimee’s Storyteller 2016 Collection that I just loved.

I also added a month at a glance card from the Welcome back and another dashboard that I printed and glued to the first page of the new month.

I prettied up this page with some fun stickers and am using it for birthday and important date tracking.

And this is the first week of January, with not much there yet, with the exception of a few fun stickers and a back to work reminder.

I will try to be back and update with each week’s progress as I can. I already have some fun ideas for the coming weeks. Thanks for looking and hope you have a terrific week ahead! Peace, out…

Happy New Year!!

Hope your 2016 is starting off wonderfully!! I’ve been spending the last couple of day cleaning up my computer and files and getting ready for a brand new year. My goal is to take more photos this year. I’ve not taken many at all lately and I want to change that. It’s something I really love. And like every other year, one of my goals is to be more organized. I think I did much better at it in 2015, but hope to get even better in 2016. One of the ways I’m hoping to do that is by using a planner. I’ve tried different ones at different points in my life, but I’m loving the new one I got and having a ball getting it all prettied up and ready for the new year. But I’ll go more in to that later. I’m hoping to do a whole post about it maybe tomorrow. Today, I wanted to swing by and share all the amazing new release for this weekend! Make sure to check them out while they are still on sale!
