Crazy days…

This week and next are probably two of the busiest of the whole year. My goal is to be done shopping and such by next Friday when we are out of school and this weekend will be spent getting everything ready for all that goes on at my school and C’s this week. I need to do some serious catching up on wrapping and make a few gifts. I also have 2 pot lucks this week to prepare something for. This past week was spent with C’s first band concert and rehearsal. So, needless to say, not a lot of scrapping got done this past week. Actually none during the week. I hope to do some serious catching up this weekend. I have a couple of layouts to share that I managed to get done last weekend before the craziness!!

How did it get to be December?

Gahhh I’m not really sure how it got to be December! Wow! I am seriously feeling behind on life right now. Yep, all of life. I do have a good bit of shopping done and some wrapping. My goal is to be done before Christmas break starts in a couple of weeks, but we’ll see if that happens. I’d like to be able to relax and enjoy my time off this year 🙂

From my happy place…

We are at the beach for the Thanksgiving holiday and it’s been awesome. Temperatures have been mid 70’s perfect and I got a little Christmas shopping done. I just hate that it’s about over and we are headed back to the cold, but hopefully we’ll be back soon. I thought I’d take a few minutes while I’m relaxing on our last night here to share some amazing newness in the shops this weekend. Love Saturday

Saturdays rock! They really do. Even if I spend a good deal of it cleaning. I love the relaxing time in the evening when I can catch up on things I’ve missed on line and not have to be worried about getting ready for the day coming up.

It’s beginning to look…

A lot like Christmas!! Especially if you have been over at The Lilypad this weekend. The designers have knocked it out of the park this week with all their amazing Document Your December creations! This is one of my very favorite projects of the whole year! I try really hard to have all the pages mostly made before December starts so that all I have to do is add photos and journaling. I did a cover pages and several other pages this past week, so I have a good start! The photos it my layouts here are from last year, but I will redo them when the time comes with this year’s photos!

Beginnings and endings…

There’s something refreshing about a new month. Time to start over, start fresh. Here we are in November. As much as I dread the cold weather cBOYoming, part of me loves this time of year and starting to think about the holidays. Football is over now and we have our evenings back again. Maybe with the new month and more time, I can spend more time here.

Sunday Evenings…

I love them. The chores are done. The house is clean. The laundry is put away. Football is on tv this time of year. I am a happy girl. Now if I could get back on track with posting here more often, it would be great haha.

Football practices are still eating away at my evenings. I’m not sure what I will do with my time when we don’t have to go any more. C has decided that he is not playing basketball this year, so we have the winter off from sports. Honestly, there is a part of me that will miss it, but I will enjoy the extra time and not have to go out on cold snowy days.

Exciting news in my scrappy world – I am now a Polly for the Lilypad! How awesome is that. I’m still just kind of hanging around getting in the swing of things and learning how things work. It’s been fun so far!! I’m looking forward to being more a part of such a great site!!

Seriously…

One day this space will become habit for me. Just when I think I’m on a roll, life throws a curve ball and I’m behind again. This time it’s for the best of reasons, though. I have a beautiful new grandson! He is absolutely precious and I adore him! I got the call on my way to work last Friday, so we spent the weekend either at the hospital or at football. This week it is raining and chilly, so I am spending some time getting caught up on all the neglected things. Football was cancelled and I was finally able to go get my hair done.

Playing Catch-Up…

I feel like I do this a lot and I’m really trying hard not to put myself in a position where I am catching up all the time! But, I can happily say that I am totally caught up on my Life in Pockets!! Now, my plan is to stay that way. I know life has a way of showing up just when I say that, but that’s my plan! I do have to say that I probably wouldn’t be caught up if it were for Just Jaimee’s Ready-to-Go Pocket Page Templates!! They have made it so easy to just pop in photos, add some journaling and be done with it. Simply Friday…

I have really come to enjoy the simplicity of Friday. No football practice. No homework. No cooking. No running. Friday evenings have quickly become my favorite! It’s really the only evening of the whole week with nothing to do. So, tonight I thought I would take a minute to share the layouts that I did for Simple Scrapper this month.
