Let’s Pretend…

Let’s pretend that it hasn’t been 2 months since I was here! Or at least I will pretend that it hasn’t been haha! It’s been a wild and crazy couple of months as well as being a couple of months where every day seems the same. I’m sure that some of you all can relate. It’s the time we are in and what we are all going through right now. I can tell you that teaching online is not something I hope to continue, but I feel sure that it will be  a part of our future in some way, shape, or form. And I have a feeling that my summer will not be as full of the typical relaxing times as we prepare for what the future will hold.

I’m keeping up with my scrapping and will get back to sharing those pages this weekend. I am up to date with my weekly spreads as well and am going to update that page. I hope to start sharing some other things as well. I am going to dive in to my planner again and work on getting myself on some sort of schedule. The world may have gone a little crazy, and probably I have as well, but I would love to be a more regular poster and share the things I love and enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back to update soon!!

Still plugging along…

Happy Thursday!! I am so looking forward to the weekend and being able to take a step back for a couple of days. I feel like work is so much more overwhelming doing it from home. Trying to figure out lessons to do online and how to make it work for those who don’t have access to the internet, as well as trying to contact everyone is no easy task. I am working hard to make myself turn off work things at a certain time every day, but sometimes that is easier said than done.

But, I have been able to catch back up with Project Life. I’m not taking many photos myself right now because we are just inside these four walls most of the time, but fortunately the kiddos are sending me lots. I sure miss seeing those babies in person!

All of my layouts are using Stories of Life Templates by Scrapping with Liz and Just Jaimee’s Storyteller and Real Life in Pockets lines. The date titles are Week Dates 2020 by Sabrina’s Creations.

Whew, I was a little behind posting these, huh? I do a little better at keeping up with Instagram, so feel free to follow me there! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Ummmm, Yeah….

Wow, it’s been awhile and wow, how the world has changed since I was here last. So much going on, but so little at the same time. I am trying to document what I can, but honestly other than the world events, not much is going on here at all. They closed our schools for two weeks on March 13, and then on March 23 decided that schools would be closed for the rest of the school year. I am doing my best to provide lessons to my students online, but it’s not so easy when many of them do not have internet at home. Chance is keeping up with his assignments, but really not liking online learning at all. We both would love to be back in school. It’s a crazy time. Everything but essential businesses are closed. Going to the grocery store is scary. I am just looking forward to the day when things start to get back to normal, or at least somewhat normal.

As far as scrapping goes, I have had a little difficulty being able to focus on scrapping much, but I am getting a few layouts done here and there. For this week I was able to work with some seriously gorgeous kits:

April – TDP Designer Collab

Home Sweet Home by Dunia Designs
Fabulously Negative v.11 by WM[squared] Designs

Sunshine and Rain: Collection + FWP by River~Rose Designs

I have been keeping up with PL and will back to share those pages. I hope that you all have a lovely Easter weekend and are able to celebrate with those closest to you! For now, peace, out…

Let’s get the party started…

It’s a little late, but it’s time to get Project Life 2020 underway. I had to wait a bit and finally finish up 2019 before I got started. If your interested in checking out the rest of those pages, you can find them under Project Life 2019 at the top of the page. In planning 2020, I knew I wanted to do something a bit different and something a bit more simple. I chose some amazing new templates by Scrapping with Liz – Stories of Life. They are just perfect for the vision of the new year that I have.

I thought I’d drop by here and share the first three weeks. In addition to Liz’s templates, I am using Just Jaimee’s Storyteller line, and Week Dates by Sabrina’s Creations.

Life Happens…

Man oh man, I have had the best intentions to do so many things with this space, but there has sure been a lot working against me lately. School started, I took a job doing homebound after school, Thanksgiving, Christmas. It’s just been one thing after another. I am hoping to come up with a regular blogging schedule in the next couple of days and do my best to stick to it. But for now, I wanted to come by and share a few layouts!

If you don’t know, the Month of Challenges is going on at The Lilypad. It is a challenge a day, every day, for the month of January. I love it. It keeps me occupied during a time of the year that usually really gets me down. There are so many fabulous challenges that stretch creativity. So many of my favorite layouts come from this time of year! If you haven’t, you should check it out!

Here are my layouts so far, all are linked to my gallery at TLP for credit:

I’m going to try to do better uploading from here on out! Thanks for looking and hope you have a great rest of your weekend!! Peace, out…

Documenting December 2019…

I’ve been documenting my December since 2012. That means that this year will be my 8th doing some form of December Daily. It is absolutely my favorite project of the whole year. It’s so fun and it keeps me occupied on the long cold winter days. Not everything I document is Christmas related, a lot of it is just our day to day. I like to just choose a photo that represents our day.

I made slideshows of some of my previous December projects, or  you can check them out in the December Daily section at the top of my page.

In 2014, I used Valorie Wibbens templates and created a more pocket style album:

In 2016, I went with a more traditional scrapping style:

In 2017, I used different Journalers by Valorie Wibbens to create my foundations:

And last year, I used Soco’s amazing 6×8 templates

So while the size has stayed the same, I have been able to switch up the style a bit every year and I love them all.

This year, I will be using Designed by Soco’s fabulous December Memories 2019 6×8 Album and Kits by Pink Reptile Designs, Allison Pennington, and Rachel Jefferies. All the supplies I’m using can be found in the Document Your December section of The Lilypad Store. Here are my first few foundation pages:

I may end up changing our cards or altering things a little, but I pretty much just have to plop in photos and journaling and I am good to go. Having these foundation pages helps more than anything to make sure I get this project done!

Do you document  your December? Are your plans for this year underway?

I’ll be back to share more foundations pages as well as the day to day once December starts! Hope you all have an amazing rest of your week! Until next time, peace, out….

Another Simple Sunday…

Yep, it’s for sure been awhile. I’m not going to say a word about doing better, because it seems like every time I say that, things happen and I don’t get it done. Suffice to say, life has just been busy and hard. I’ve been doing another job after my regular job and it’s taken every spare moment that I have.

I have also been so bad about coming here to share my layouts for Simple Scrapper, and believe it or not, they are always some of my most favorite!

I love being a part of the team at Simple Scrapper. I really feel like it helps me to create some meaningful, purposeful layouts and inspires me to create pages that I may not have thought of otherwise. The Premium Membership offers exclusive content and a supportive, generous, and inspiring community. So much amazing content! Some of the benefits include a private groups, Spark Magazine, chats, podcasts, sketches, and story starters. Totally awesome!

Here are my layouts for October and November:

There are just so many amazing resources that go along with a Simple Scrapper Premium Membership! It is totally worth checking in to and trying out!!

I’m going to be back in a day or two to share my Document Your December foundation pages and process! Until then, peace, out…

Scrap Saturday…

Hey, hey, hey! I love Saturday evenings when the chores are done, dinner is done and I can just sit and relax, stay up as late as I want, and scrap my heart out or just hang out. We were going to go to the movies tonight, but not doing anything sounded a lot better. So, I thought I’d drop by here and share my new layouts for this week.

First up – In My Cup Mini Theme Kit Bundle – Storyteller September 2019 Add-on by Just Jaimee. I paired it up with an older template of hers from the March 2018 Storyteller.

Next up – WM[squared] is guesting at The Digital Press right now and she has this fantastic kit that’s perfect for all our beach vacation photos – Great Escape: South Carolina.

And my final layout for this week is using a gorgeous new collection from River~Rose at Sweet Shoppe Designs – Take the Chance.

Take The Chance Collection by River~Rose

You can grab any of these on sale this weekend and they are all amazing!! Now I’m off to see what else I can get in to and probably work on my PL for this week! I hope you have a great rest of your weekend!! Peace, out…

Well, well, well…

So much for setting a new routine and keeping up with this over the summer. I’m not even sure where the summer went. We went a few places, joined a gym, and spent a lot of time playing. So, I’m just going to pick up from here and start fresh!

I got way behind on PL as well and finally got all caught up with that this weekend. I thought I’d drop by here are share most of the summer through this week. I would never be able to get caught up if it weren’t for Just Jaimee’s Ready to Go Pocket Page Templates!!

I’ll come back tomorrow and share my layouts for some new releases this weekend!

Until next time! Peace, out…

Life in Pockets…

Just dropping in to share the latest layouts for my Life in Pockets. I got behind for a couple of weeks, but caught up on them today. This year I went back to using Just Jaimee’s Ready To Go Templates. They are awesome. There is nothing like them if you have limited time and want to stay on top of whatever your project might be. I didn’t use them last year and found myself behind more times than I can count.

Here are weeks 13 and 14 🙂

I do make a few changes here and there. I like a clean white or whitish background so I always swap out the background paper with a white from that month’s Storyteller Collection. There are times that I switch out a word art here and there to better match the photos I’m using.

My weekly cards are Weekly Vol. 1 3×4 Cards by Designed by Soco. I love the minimal design.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great rest of your week!! Peace, out…
