I thought I would take time out today to share my layouts for Simple Scrapper this month. I realized that I hadn’t shared for a bit and need to catch up with those. They are always some of my favorite pagegs!!
I love being a part of the team at Simple Scrapper. I really feel like it helps me to create some meaningful, purposeful layouts and inspires me to create pages that I may not have thought of otherwise. The Premium Membership offers exclusive content and a supportive, generous, and inspiring community. Some of the benefits include a private Facebook group, Spark Magazine, chats, podcasts, sketches, and story starters. Totally awesome! And here are my pages:
Wow. I really thought that summer would bring me here a little more often, but that hasn’t been the case. I spent the first week of vacation cleaning out cabinets and closets and doing a few other things that needed done around the house. Since then, I’ve been babysitting for my grandson most every day, and when I’m not I’m catching up on laundry and cleaning. I swear I think summer break goes by faster and faster every year.
I thought I would drop by this evening and share a couple of new releases with you and then hopefully get back on a schedule again!
New this week from Just Jaimee is Scooped – Storyteller July 2018 Add-on:
And new from River~Rose is Sunkissed Collection:
I’ve added some of my previous weeks’ pages under my Scrap Pages, so head there if you want to check it out!!
So, I’m not sure where the last week has gone. I did some babysitting for grandchildren and spent the rest of the time getting ready for C’s birthday on Thursday. We had to order the cake and make dinner arrangements. We let him open a couple of gifts early because of R’s work schedule and not making him wait until late at night to get his gifts. He’s basically all set up with a gaming studio in his room now and I’m not sure he’ll ever come out haha. Hard to believe that my baby is a teenager! We all went out to dinner at the Japanese Steakhouse on his actual birthday. I love it when we can all get together like that.
This weekend, I’ve been getting the house as clean as possible so that I don’t have stuff hanging over my head for the week. I also got a new washing machine!! Yay!! I’ve been washing clothes by hand since mine went out and it’s been no fun! I am a terrible pioneer woman! They are delivering it on Thursday and I am so excited!!
I’ve also been cleaning out some drawers and cabinets again this week. I’ve started following Nesting with Grace and she is so inspiring!! She has a small home like mine and I am trying to take bits and pieces from her style as I can. I wish I could afford to just totally redo everything, but I figure if I can do one little thing at a time, then I’m making progress. Anyway, she has an organizing challenge going on and even created a printable. It’s in her post on the Organized and Well Nested Home, and it has been so helpful!! I also follow her on Instagram @nestingwithgrace and love her feed and stories so much! I can’t wait to explore her site some more!
And now on to all that’s new in the scrappy world. I am still seriously behind on Project Life, but hope to be caught up with that in the next few days if all goes my way. Here are the pages that I did with new releases this week. You might still catch them on sale if you hurry!!
And that will wrap things up for me tonight! I will be back tomorrow, because I realized that I haven’t share Simple Scrapper pages for a little bit and I need to do that! Hope your upcoming week is fantastic! Peace, out…
Trying to wrap my brain around where the last two months have gone! Wow! I barely even remember them passing. Everything at work was just crazy. I finished up a class, had another project to complete, and held tons of meetings. Baseball season was a blur. Chance’s team didn’t do very well, but he had a great time and that’s all that matters. He really loves the game. School ended last Friday and since then I’ve been cleaning out rooms and prepping for a yard sale tomorrow. They are so much work, but I will be glad to be rid of all this junk! I have a one rule when it comes to yard sales…if it goes out of the house, it doesn’t come back in. Whatever doesn’t sell, will be donated or trashed. Once this week is over, it’s really time for summer break to begin!
Other than all of that, I’ve been trying to keep up with some scrapping. I am way behind on project life, but caught up in most other areas, even though there is so much I would love to do! My Scrap Pages is up to date, so if you want to check out what I’ve been up to, you can look there.
I thought I’d drop in while I have a quick minute and share some of the fantastic new releases this weekend!
And last but certainly not least is Hello Happy Collection by River~Rose. I paired this one with June Bingo Templates by Crystal Livesay.
And now that crazy time is over, I hope to have more time for blogging, so I will be back soon! For now, I’m off to do a little reading before I finish setting up for the yard sale! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!! Peace, out…
I’m still a little behind on Project Life for this year, but I hope to be caught up in no time. I just thought I’d drop by today and share the most recent pages I’ve done. It’s so fun to look back through the years and see what was going on at various stages. Some things stay the same and some things change so much!! You can check out my entire album with credits here – Life in Pockets 2018.
But not just any Monday. This is the Monday that we start adding 30 minutes on to our school day because of all the crappy snow days we had UGH. We have to be there 15 minutes earlier and stay 15 minutes later for the next 6 weeks! They are adding 5 minutes on to each class period. I’m not really sure what they think it’s going to accomplish, but I guess it looks good on paper time-wise. Oh well…we only have 7 or 8 weeks left anyway. I think I can, I think I can!

Hope you have a wonderful week!! Until next time…peace, out…
We are having a lovely rainy day here today. Why do I say lovely? Well, for starters, it’s not snow!! And a long time ago, I was walking my daughter in to kindergarten, grumbling about the rain when she looked up at me and said, “But mommy, if it didn’t rain, there wouldn’t be any puddles to jump in”. I have never looked at rain the same since. We had a crazy busy week, so I’m taking the rain today as a sign to slow down and catch up on a few indoor things that I’ve been neglecting. Plus, I’m getting a little time to scrap and to come by here!
I wanted to take a minute to share what’s new this weekend and the layouts I’ve created!
I’m a little behind on PL right now but only a couple of weeks. I hope to get them caught up quickly. I also have a couple of other layouts for Simple Scrapper that I need to upload and share, but I’ll be back with those 🙂 I hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend!! Until next time…peace, out…
We are over 2 weeks in to spring now, and I am still waiting to see it! I’m looking out my window right now at snow on the ground and more expected tonight. I’m so over it. We have had a few fairly nice days here and there, but no definitive spring yet. That hasn’t stopped the busy from coming though. Baseball practices have started. IEP season at work has started. And the countdown to the end of the school year has started. Sometimes it feels like the days drag and other times it feels like life is going by at lightning speed.
One of the things that brightens every month for me is BYOC at The Lilypad!! Amazing designs that all coordinate so beautifully. And if you haven’t seen this month’s, it is gorgeous!! Here are just a few sample pages by me.
River~Rose also has a gorgeous new collection out this weekend and still on sale – April Rains:
I am working on catching up with Project Life. I only need to do this week’s spread, but I will be taking some photos today to add to it. I’ve got some actual work to do for my IRL job and I guess I need to make that my priority for now. Hope to be back soon with new updates! Hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful and relaxing! Until next time, peace out…..
Spring just keeps popping in here for a day and giving us a little taste and then runs off again. We had a winter with pretty much no snow and now we are getting ready for our second winter storm since the first day of Spring. I am not a fan. I am not a cold weather person. I do not like snow, especially if there is a chance I will have to drive in it. But I don’t reckon there is anything much I can do about it, so we bought a bunch of snacks and we’ll just hunker down for the weekend.
I know I haven’t been by here for a couple of weeks, but I have been trying to stay on top of a class that I’m taking this semester and do a little scrapping here and there. I wanted to make sure that I got here to share some amazing new releases this week.
And I also wanted to tell you about the amazing Retirement Sale going on at The Lilypad!! There are some gorgeous designs that are going, going, gone! Make sure you take a peek and get them while you can.
I’m going to do some PL catch up this weekend and get my Planner set up. It’s been awhile since I updated photos of it here. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Until next time…peace, out… 🙂
Whew! What a week it’s been. I have barely come up for air. That darn Murphy and his law have been all up in my business this week. Thursday was the worst! Let me give you just a little run down.
I had an IEP meeting scheduled with a parent and a LOT of other team members at 8am, so I needed to leave my house a bit early in order to get the room and computer set up so that we’d be ready to go. No problem, out of the house at 7:55..go me!
But, we had a bit of snow the night before and as I made the turn on to the road out of our subdivision I see ahead of me, traffic at a dead stop. There must have been a wreck in the curves down the hill.
After sitting for a few minutes, I start texting a co-worker who was coming to my meeting asking if she would please start it for me because it didn’t look like I was going to make it.
About that time, the gas light in my car comes on.
Then, I remember that I needed to send a check to school with C for his upcoming school trip and I have no checks in my purse. Cue frantic note writing.
After 40 minutes of sitting, we are moving, sliding most of the way to the main road.
Gas station stop first. I pull up to the pump and it’s not taking cards. I drive to the next pump and have to swipe my card 8000 times before it goes through.
I will say that my meeting went really well and I always appreciate that. Most of the rest of the school day went fairly smoothly until…
After school, C didn’t come to my classroom like he usually does. I go check the main building to see if maybe he’s over there hanging out with a friend…nope. I text him, no answer. I call the school to see if he’s missed the bus and they tell me that they didn’t have a driver on time and the bus just left the school…20 minutes late.
I hope to not have a day like that one for awhile, but the rest of the week was still pretty crazy!
My mom turned 80 yesterday and we took her out to dinner. Coordinating 15 people is not an easy task, but we all made it and had a really nice time! I know mom enjoyed it. I came home and slept for like 12 hours.
Today has been playing catch up on scrappy things, so I’ll share what I’ve been up to!
