Where did 10 days go? I swear I thought I was keeping up with this better than that. Oh well! I have been keeping myself super busy since school was out. I have been working on my pallet benches. I got them all cut and placed where I thought they should go. And then I decided that it just wasn’t turning out the way that I wanted it to. So, I ordered a new patio set (cheaper than buying cushions and pillows for my benches) and I have split the pallet benches in to sections. One section is on my front porch and three are on the back. I’m liking them much better this way and I don’t feel like I wasted the work. I’ll share photos when all is said and done.
I’ve done a few other things, like paint the bathroom and rescreen/paint the storm door on the front of the house. I also painted some trim on the front. I have a few other projects on my to-do list. Next up is pressure washing the front deck before the new patio set arrives and tearing up the old nasty carpet on my steps. I am so sick of it! I keep waiting for rainy days to do inside stuff and well, we haven’t had any! I am trying not to complain, since last summer all it did was rain!
On Saturday, C and I went to the Celebrate Princeton Street Fair. We had a really great time and talked to some really interesting people. They are trying to fix up our down town area. It used to be a bustling place, but has fallen in to disrepair over the years. There is a group that is working to change that – Princeton Renaissance Project. I wanted to take a minute to share some photos of the amazing murals that are being painted on the sides of some of the buildings. Check it out:
This one is my favorite!
